Inventatory is a free, open-source inventory for electronics. Scan a vendor bag and it fills in the part and gives it a slot. Build a board and it walks you to every part.
Here's how it works
A part comes in, the scanner reads its bag, and Inventatory fills it in from the vendor and gives it a slot. When a board needs it, you go straight there. The whole loop, in under two minutes.
It lives in
your terminal.
One keyboard-driven window for stock, racks, orders, boards and history. Your inventory stays on your own computer. Pick a feature to see it at work on a real bench.
Filter by part, category, parameter, location or SKU. Set a reorder threshold for each part and run a guided stocktake.Read the guide
Assign parts to a 5 × 5 rack grid, so a location reads R1-B3 instead of Drawer 12. Print labels for slots and parts.Read the guide
Load a DigiKey order CSV and review each line. Accept or skip it, and accepted parts are created and filled in from DigiKey.Read the guide
Import a KiCad BOM to see what is in stock and what needs ordering. Pick the parts rack by rack, then deduct them from stock.Read the guide
Every change is recorded with its before and after values. Set checkpoints, and restore or reverse a change, even after a restart.Read the guide
And works with
the tools you use.
